About
Laure Friès Architecture is a Paris-based studio working across architecture, interior architecture and art.
LFA creates singular spaces where simplicity, materiality and constructive precision define an architecture that is both sensitive and enduring.
Each project begins with a dialogue between the existing fabric and its surroundings. The studio favours measured interventions, where light, proportion and material reveal the potential of a place rather than radically transform it. Natural and bio-based materials, craftsmanship and bespoke details contribute to an architecture conceived to endure.
Founded by architect and artist Laure Friès, LFA draws on an international background spanning Switzerland, Japan and France. This experience informs an approach that combines the sensitivity and restraint of Japanese architecture with the constructive precision rooted in Swiss architectural culture.
Alongside the studio, Laure develops an artistic practice using tools and techniques drawn from construction. Architecture and art share a common language, exploring material, gesture and their relationship to space.
"I believe in architecture that does less, but does it precisely - working with what already exists, choosing materials carefully, and giving every detail a purpose."
