ARCHITECTURE
Comprehensive design and delivery, from ground-up construction to the sensitive transformation of heritage structures.
LFA approaches every project with a structurally minimal ethos, ensuring that every intervention is both necessary and poetic. We specialize in complex extensions, vertical additions, and deep renovations where the goal is to enhance the existing dialogue between site and structure. Our work is defined by:
• Proportional Integrity: Creating a sense of balance that feels inherent, not forced.
• Atmospheric Light: Sculpting voids to capture and direct natural light as a primary building material.
• Material Honesty: A rigorous commitment to local sourcing and the tactile expression of raw materiality.
INTERIOR DESIGN
Spatial design and interior renovation, from initial concept to the precision of detailed execution.
The studio views interiors not as decoration, but as an extension of the architectural narrative. We develop cohesive environments that balance functional rigor with sensory warmth. Our interior services encompass:
• Bespoke Elements: Custom-designed integrated furniture and architectural hardware.
• FF&E Curation: Expert selection of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment that align with the project’s DNA.
• Material Coherence: A disciplined palette that ensures a seamless transition between the "skin" of the building and its inner sanctum.
ART & INSTALLATION
The creation of singular, site-specific works at the intersection of fine art and the built environment.
LFA blurs the boundary between the gallery and the home, offering three distinct modes of artistic engagement:
• Framed Works (On Request): Conceived through a collaborative process to integrate and dialogue with a specific interior or architectural volume.
• In Situ Works (Unframed): Bespoke pieces developed during the construction phase. These are not "placed" in a room; they are integrated into the fabric of the architecture itself—becoming permanent, structural expressions of art.
• Off-Site Unique Works: Autonomous pieces and limited editions designed independently of a specific context. These are independent explorations of form and materiality, available for private acquisition.
PHASES
We guide our clients through a structured, five-stage journey. This ensures that every detail—from the initial spark of an idea to the final tactile finish—is executed with rigor and intent.
01. CONCEPT & FEASIBILITY
The Foundation of the Idea
The process begins with an in-depth dialogue to understand your vision, functional requirements, and budget. We conduct a site analysis and preliminary studies to define the project’s constraints and possibilities.
• Outcome: Initial sketches, spatial diagrams, and a clear project roadmap.
02. SCHEMATIC DESIGN
Defining the Narrative
Here, the concept takes a physical form. We explore proportions, the play of light, and the relationship between volumes. We present floor plans and 3D visualizations to establish the architectural language of the project.
• Outcome: Preliminary floor plans, sections, and a refined aesthetic direction.
03. DETAILED DESIGN & DOCUMENTATION
Precision and Technical Rigor
Once the schematic design is approved, we move into technical resolution. We define the structural minimal approach, select the primary material palette, and coordinate with engineers and consultants. This phase produces the comprehensive set of drawings required for permits and bidding.
• Outcome: Technical drawings, structural integration, and material specifications.
04. INTERIOR & BESPOKE DETAILING
The Human Scale
In parallel with the technical phase, we zoom in on the tactile experience. We design bespoke furniture, select FF&E, and finalize the "In Situ" art installations. Every joint, handle, and surface is meticulously detailed.
• Outcome: Joinery packages, lighting layouts, and finishes schedules.
05. CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
From Paper to Site
During construction, LFA acts as your representative on-site. We conduct regular inspections to ensure the work aligns with our design intent and quality standards. We troubleshoot complexities in real-time to maintain the architectural integrity of the build.
• Outcome: On-site quality control, final walkthroughs, and project handover.
